This Privacy Policy explains how Aurora Homecare LLC d/b/a SofaBrite ("SofaBrite," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use sofabrite.com and our booking services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

SofaBrite is an online platform that connects customers with independent local cleaning providers. We handle booking, pricing, and payment. The cleaning itself is performed by an independent provider in your area, not by SofaBrite employees.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and service address.
  • Photos and any images or videos you upload of the items to be cleaned.
  • Booking details (item type, time slot, special instructions).
  • Payment is processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers. Stripe collects and processes your payment information under its own privacy policy.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location.
  • Pages visited, links clicked, time on site, and similar usage data.
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies, including analytics tools and advertising pixels (for example, from Google and Meta) that help us measure performance and show relevant ads. See Section 7.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Generate your price estimate, including by processing uploaded photos through automated (AI) image analysis.
  • Schedule, fulfill, and support your booking.
  • Share necessary details with the independent provider assigned to your job (such as your name, address, contact info, photos, and instructions) so they can perform the service.
  • Process payments and handle refunds, disputes, and chargebacks.
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and service-related messages.
  • Market and promote the Service, including using uploaded and before/after photos as described in our Terms of Service.
  • Improve the Service, including improving our pricing and AI systems.
  • Comply with law and enforce our agreements.

4. How we share your information

We share information with:

  • The independent provider assigned to your job, as needed to perform the service.
  • Service vendors who help us operate (payment processing, hosting, analytics, email/SMS delivery, advertising platforms).
  • Authorities or others when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing with advertising platforms may be considered "sharing" or "selling" under certain state laws; see Section 8 for your choices.

5. Photos and images

When you upload a photo, you grant SofaBrite the license described in our Terms of Service, including the right to use, edit, and display those images for advertising and promotional purposes. Do not upload images containing other people, or personal or sensitive information you do not want collected or shown. See the Terms for full details.

6. Automated (AI) pricing

We use automated image analysis to estimate pricing. Automated systems can make mistakes. Your estimate is subject to the terms and adjustment conditions described in our Terms of Service. The AI analysis is a pricing tool only and is not a professional inspection of your item.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. This may include third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and advertising pixels (e.g., Google, Meta) that track activity across sites to measure and target ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of certain advertising tracking through tools offered by those platforms and through your device settings. Where required, we will present a cookie consent banner.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or "sale"/"sharing" of your data. To make a request, contact us at customerservice@sofabrite.com. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law.

9. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Photos used in marketing may be retained and used as described in the Terms.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
